Your information

Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026

L’Onda Hypnobirthing, operated by Manuela Platé, is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This notice explains what personal information I collect, why I use it and the choices you have.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

L’Onda Hypnobirthing is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

You can contact me at manu@londahypnobirthing.com or by telephone or WhatsApp on 07411 070805.

2. Information I may collect

I may collect information that you provide when you contact me, enquire about or book a course, or receive support from me. This may include:

  • your name, email address and telephone number;
  • booking, payment and course-administration information;
  • your expected due date and information about your pregnancy, birth preferences or health that you choose to share;
  • our correspondence by email, telephone or WhatsApp; and
  • feedback or testimonials, where you have agreed that I may use them.

Please only provide health or pregnancy information that is relevant to the support you would like from me.

3. How I collect it

I normally receive information directly from you when you contact me by email, WhatsApp or telephone, or when you arrange or attend a course. This website does not contain a contact form, user accounts or an online payment facility.

4. How and why I use your information

I use personal information only where I have a lawful reason to do so. Depending on the circumstances, I may use it:

  • to respond to your enquiry and take steps at your request before you book;
  • to arrange, deliver and support you through a course under our agreement;
  • to manage payments, accounts and records and meet my legal obligations;
  • for legitimate business purposes such as administration, security and dealing with queries or complaints; and
  • with your consent, to use a testimonial or contact you about anything outside the service you requested.

Information about pregnancy or health may be special-category information. Where I need to use this information to tailor support, I will do so with your explicit consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time, although this will not affect use that was lawful before withdrawal.

5. Who may receive your information?

I do not sell personal information. I may use trusted service providers to operate my business, such as email, messaging, secure file storage, accounting or payment services. They may process information only as needed to provide those services. I may also disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Some providers, including WhatsApp and email or cloud-service providers, may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, I rely on the safeguards provided by the relevant service and applicable data-protection law.

6. How long I keep it

I keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, and to meet accounting, tax, insurance or legal requirements. Routine pregnancy or health information is not kept for longer than needed to provide the course and agreed support. Financial and transaction records may be retained for the period required by law.

7. Security

I take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. No method of electronic communication or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through ordinary email or messaging.

8. This website and cookies

I do not use this website to collect enquiries, registrations or payments, and I do not intentionally use advertising or marketing cookies. The website-hosting provider may process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser information and security logs, to deliver and protect the site.

The site contains links to third-party websites or services. Their own privacy notices apply when you follow those links.

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction or objection to its use, or transfer of information you supplied. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact manu@londahypnobirthing.com. I may need to verify your identity before responding.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please contact me first so I can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

10. Changes to this notice

I may update this notice when my services or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its revision date.
